Here at The Audit Lab, we specialise in all things digital. We’re an SEO agency at heart, completing that technical puzzle with digital PR and content marketing. Based just outside of Manchester, we have great connections to a rapidly growing city, along with its amazing businesses.
Our team at The Audit Lab, go above and beyond for all of our clients. However, when it comes to creating some really great content, there is one client that stands out among the rest. This is none other than sex toy manufacturer, UberKinky. We have found this client particularly fun to work with – for obvious reasons! – but also because it has given us the ability to push our boundaries and to experiment with various types of content.
Combining the efforts of both our content marketing and digital PR team, we created a pseudonym for a very important member of the UberKinky team. Ruby Payne is the star of the UberKinky onsite blog, and offers sex and relationship advice throughout all of our PR journalist requests. The responsibility of Ruby Payne rests on the shoulders of our content writers as well as our digital PR team. It is safe to say that everyone has a bit of Ruby in them.
Alongside our blog efforts with Ruby, our digital PR team were hard at work drawing up some interesting content. Including, a nation-wide survey investigating ‘thoughts during sex’ and a ‘Taxonomy of Pornstar Names’ infographic. From this we had some fantastic links and coverage that helped to boost our client’s results. Our idea behind Ruby was to create a persona that would come to be the anonymous, yet reliable, face of the brand. We succeeded in this.
Having been partnered with UberKinky for over a year now, our team can look back on some great successes with them. The TAL content and digital PR teams have achieved coverage in publications such as Cosmopolitan, LadBible, OK! Magazine and many more national names. Not to mention coverage that amounts to 500+ pieces.
Here is what Luke Sherwood, former digital marketing manager for UberKinky, had to say about our work:
“Working with The Audit Lab has been great since onboarding them. They have helped us throughout a migration, to creating quality on site content, along with some excellent blogs whilst totally understanding our tone of voice. This has been achieved through creating our very own sexpert ‘Ruby Payne’, that has also helped gain lots of coverage through reactive pieces and campaigns, in some top publications, helping us increase our domain authority. They have been like an extension of the team and can trust them on any of their recommendations. We look forward to continuing our relationship into 2022 and seeing what results they can deliver.”
Our work with UberKinky has given the content team a great opportunity to work with a slightly unusual client and to show what we can do. Entering the Global Content Awards, and putting forward our achievements with UberKinky, has been a testament to the hard work of our team here at The Audit Lab. We are ecstatic to have been shortlisted for the award, and are hopeful in our chances of winning. Psst! We also won a UK Content Award for ‘Outreach Campaign of the Year’!
Along our journey with UberKinky, we realised the power of reactive PR and how it could impact on the development of our content. The creation of Ruby Payne helped to popularise our reactive work and to get the UberKinky name out into the world. The Audit Lab has given UberKinky a trusted and reliable spokesperson in the form of Ruby, and we couldn’t be more delighted.
